About
Hi!👋 I'm Chris Hung,
Front-end → full-stack engineer who builds data-heavy, user-facing web apps. React/Next.js (App Router, SSR/ISR, TypeScript) on the front; Node (Hono), REST/RPC, and PostgreSQL + Drizzle on the back. I ship with CI/CD, E2E tests, and observability, and I make calls with LCP, P95, bundle size, error rate, and cost. I’ve shipped across education, commerce/content, operations/logistics, and geospatial. I thrive in 0→1 builds and in refactors that raise performance and maintainability. I work tightly with design and backend/ML teams and translate complex ideas for non-technical stakeholders. Looking for front-end or full-stack roles at the intersection of visualization, performance, and API/DB design. Based in Taipei.

CocoTree
Full-Stack Engineer
- Led the 0→1 build of an ESG geospatial analytics platform for resource inventory, protected-area overlap, and automated EIA reporting.
- Frontend: React, React Router, Zustand, react-map-gl for interactive mapping—real-time drawing, GeoJSON upload, coordinate input, and layered analysis.
- Backend: Hono.js + PostgreSQL/PostGIS REST APIs using ST_* geometry operations and GIST/BRIN spatial indexes for large-scale spatial queries.
- Deployed on Azure Static Web Apps + Functions (serverless) to cut ops overhead and improve reliability and elasticity.

Wisdome.AI
Frontend Engineer
As the Front-End Architect for this educational technology platform, I designed architecture using Next.js with AWS Amplify, working with back-end engineers to implement Fernet encryption for data security. I collaborated with the machine learning team on question generation interfaces, leveraged MDX for SAT questions and mathematical formulas, and developed reusable UI components based on Figma designs, ensuring consistent visual styling and smooth user experience.

Meet.jobs
Frontend Engineer
In this talent search system project, I worked closely with machine learning engineers, taking responsibility for website UI/visual design, front-end performance optimization, and API integration. I utilized Vercel for rapid deployment iterations and updates, while maintaining and enhancing the meet.jobs website and internal employee tools, continuously improving interfaces and developing new features based on user and colleague feedback to ensure the system met diverse requirements.

IDaka
Frontend Engineer
As a Front-end Engineer at iDaka, I independently handled all front-end development and interface design work, using React framework to build a new website from scratch based on existing product business logic, ensuring excellent user experience and performance. After confirming company and client requirements, I coordinated with back-end engineers on database architecture and API specifications to develop and implement new features.
